Jeff Belcik, a beloved husband, father, friend, and community member, passed away unexpectedly, on November 15, 2023. While the past year has been a devastating time for those who knew him, the family is turning a difficult situation into one that will bring joy by establishing a permanent legacy in Jeff’s memory.

A scholarship will be established at The Shelby Foundation to benefit a senior graduating from Crestline High School. The inaugural scholarship will be awarded in spring of 2025.

Foundation Director Carrie Kemerer shared, “Jeff and Molly are friends of mine, so is the entire Finnegan Family. It means the world that they have turned to The Shelby Foundation for his legacy.”

Jeff was involved in the Crestline School District, so it is fitting that the family is establishing a scholarship to benefit a Crestline graduating senior.

Spring of 2025 will be the first year for the scholarship which happens to be the senior year at Crestline for Jeff’s oldest son, Finnegan.

The family is using the first anniversary of his death to establish a scholarship in his honor. Kemerer stated, “Jeff was respected and loved. You can help keep his legacy of service to others and his community alive by contributing to his scholarship fund.”
